New Online Flash Game to Promote Science Fiction Novel

We’ve been hard at work for the past 2 months or so putting together a new free to play online Flash game, we’re in the final stages of testing and debugging at the moment and it should be ready for release next week.

The game was created to help promote the new science fiction thriller novel Cyberkill by Frank Fiore. Put together using our own custom written AS3 tile based game engine (which includes some nice dynamic lighting effects) the game takes it’s main inspiration from retro arcade games such as Gauntlet and Into the Eagles Nest. It’s a top view maze escape type game in which you control the novel’s main character Travis Cole and must save the world by putting a stop to his artificial intelligence creation Dorian’s plans to wipe out Cole and the rest of the human race. There’s six separate levels of action puzzle goodness and a healthy slice of gore thrown in for good measure.

Keep an eye on the site over the next week or so to play the game when it’s launched. The Cyberkill novel is available now at cyberkill.frankfiore.com and in the meantime here’s a couple of screenshots to whet your appetite.
