What was originally intended to be a small update to our Supercar Road Racer Flash car racing game got a bit out of hand, as these things often do. A couple of days work turned into nearly 2 weeks solid coding. The game is now running at over 5000 lines of code (a big chunk of which was tweaked or rewritten for this update). So now I think it’s time to draw a line under it and move on.
It’s just over 5 months since I started work on our new retro top view Flash car racing game Supercar Road Racer. It’s been delayed a few times by other projects, but I finally got a full week to work on it as soon as I got back after Christmas and New Year. So, the beta is finally here.
Been busy tidying up our new Supercar Road Racer Flash game. As promised I’ve just uploaded a playable alpha demo of the game that you can play now HERE. (You’ll need to click on the game window before playing to activate it).
Been busy for the last 9 days Photoshoping the final track artwork. All 12 tracks are now complete, including rocks, bushes and trees. The trees and bushes from the last screenshots have been completely re-done as I wasn’t happy with the roundness of them, they look much better now. It’s all coming along nicely now as you can see from the new video.
Track artwork for our latest Flash online racing game Supercar Road Racer is coming along nicely. The first track is just about finished (only 11 more to go!). It should start to get a bit easier to put the others together now though.
It’s been a busy couple of weeks working on our latest retro Flash racing game ‘Supercar Road Racer’. Since my last update 16 track layouts got put together, of which the best 12 were chosen for the game. All track layouts have now been put into the game.
I’ve had a busy few days and late nights putting together a basic rough version of the game engine for our new racing game Supercar Road Racer.
Most of the car game mechanics are in and working (if a little buggy). plus the different car attributes are working, which you’ll be able to buy as upgrades in the garage between races (assuming you’ve collected enough money).
The artwork for our new top view car racing game inspired by the classic games such as Supercars 2 on Amiga and Super Sprint arcade is coming along nicely. Development got delayed slightly while we put the finishing touches to the follow up to USC Racer for Santa Pod Raceway, look out for that in the next week or so.
