Don’t worry, we’re not going to ask you to start writing code, produce artwork or anything like that. We just decided it would be nice to get some input from the early design stages for our ongoing Castle Nomis Flash game project. You can read about it in more detail here and here. Basically it’s going to be an arcade adventure fantasy hack n slash game, with the emphasis on arcade action.
Been busy planning our new action adventure hack n slash game over the last few days. Got the basic story sorted along with some very rough concept art, I’ll be posting some of that soon.
We’re currently in the very early planning stages for our next independent release Flash web based game. I’ll be trying to post frequent updates about where we are with it throughout the development process.
Now that we’ve finished and released the Cyberkill Flash game, the first to use our new AS3 tile based game engine, we’re in the process of thinking about our next game release to use the engine.
We’ve finally launched the new Cyberkill Flash game, you can play it here.
The game is based on the new science fiction book of the same name written by Frank Fiore.
We’ve been hard at work for the past 2 months or so putting together a new free to play online Flash game, we’re in the final stages of testing and debugging at the moment and it should be ready for release next week.
We’ve just added an upgrade to our tile based Flash game engine code. The upgrade opens up some pretty exciting possibilities for top view, scrolling map based games.
After a few quiet months at The Motion Monkey things are getting a bit hectic again.
A recent study has shown that online in-game advertising is more effective than TV advertising.
The study, conducted by market research firm Frank Magid Associates and advertiser Zappos.com found that in-game advertising provides “substantially better performance and consumer perception than traditional TV advertising”. If you’re still not convinced of the merits of advergames, you can read the full story over at Brand Republic here.
Advergames are being used more and more by businesses to increase worldwide brand awareness, here’s why:
1) Advergames are interactive – Unlike traditional advertising methods, adver-games allow potential customers to interact with your brand. If done well you can get your marketing message across without it even seeming like an advert.
