Branded HTML5 Games

Why Use HTML5 for Branded Video Games?

HTML5 is the future of web based multimedia content. It allows the development of complex multimedia applications which run directly in the web browser, across a wide range of devices.

Web based games used to be the domain of Adobe Flash, but now HTML5 provides a viable alternative development platform for branded games that also work on mobile devices. This makes branded HTML5 games a viable alternative to branded mobile app games, with the added bonus of working on desktop computers as well.

One Version

Because it allows a write once, run everywhere approach, HTML5 is often the best development platform for a branded game project.

You don’t need to worry about an additional mobile app version of your branded game. HTML5 can give you an app-like experience in the mobile browser.

Rapid Development and Deployment

In our experience, most branded game projects tend to have fairly short turn-around times. This makes HTML5 the preferable (and sometimes only) option to get the job done in the timeframe.

We’ve streamlined our workflow to allow us to develop custom branded HTML5 games fast. Using our proprietary HTML5 game engine means we get access to a range of game specific features, without coding from scratch each time. This makes it possible to go from initial concept to being ready to go live in a month or less.

Plus you don’t have to worry about delays and issues that can arise from having to submit to third party delivery platforms (such as mobile app stores). So your finished game can be made live (either on your website or a dedicated domain name) straight away, as soon as it’s finished.

Cost Effective

Using our own HTML5 game engine allows us to keep production costs under control.

Although game development is literally sky’s the limit, you don’t need to spend a fortune to get a great, bespoke branded HTML5 game.

Additional Build Options

HTML5 isn’t just restricted to the web. We can build branded HTML5 games as stand-alone software applications for situations where that is preferable, or you want to run your game offline.

Various build options are available that require minimal changes and extra work. So if you do need to use your branded HTML5 game on devices without a live internet connection, you don’t need to develop a totally new version.

Branded Mobile Apps

It’s rare that you’d want to publish as a mobile app as well, but if you do want to do that there are a range of options to do this from the same web based code. Read more…
