Free 80’s 8-Bit Style Retro Video Game Pixel Fonts
We've decided to post 8 of the 8-bit style pixel art fonts we designed for our game engine. We're happy for anyone to use them free of charge, but please if you want to share them around then share this page and let people download them from here, don't post them to your own website or blog. There's a good variety of styles in standard retro arcade 8 pixel font sizing. They're great for use in games or design projects, in fact we've used them ina few of our own. They're just in plain old flat white, but it's pretty easy to change the colours, add gradient effects etc. as you wish in Photoshop or another image editing program. They look great blown up as well for that 8-bit pixelated effect.
We're hoping to grow this collection and maybe add some larger display fonts in future. Also, if you require a bespoke font for a retro video game project then we can produce commissioned pixel fonts as well, so get in touch.
Anyway, here they are, all in .fnt format, ready to use in a variety of game engines, including for HTML5 games.
