UK Custom Flash Game Developers & Designers
N.B. – Now that Flash on the web has been given an official end of life date of the end of 2020 we recommend you use HTML5 for all web based projects that will have a life-span that goes beyond that date. You should also start planning to convert your Flash games to HTML5 (read more about our conversion services). Adobe AIR remains unaffected.
Why Use Flash & Adobe AIR for Games?
Flash has evolved considerably since it’s humble beginnings as a web based multimedia platform. It’s now arguably the most cost and time effective way to produce small scale 2D video games for websites, mobile or even as a stand-alone PC game.
It was the weapon of choice for publishing rich multimedia applications online for well over a decade, but it’s now so much more than just the browser plugin.
Along with Adobe AIR, it’s a great way to get cross-device compatibility whilst maintaining a high quality end product and not having to worry about the myriad of tech issues inherent with the HTML5 platform. If you want to target both desktop computers and mobile devices, while maintaining the highest quality end product, Flash is still a great choice.
It’s also perfect in instances where you need to support desktop computers that aren’t HTML5 compatible. E.g. in a corporate environment where it’s common practice to continue using older versions of computer operating systems and browser software.
We started creating branded Flash games around a decade ago, before most people had even heard of branded games. Our experience in designing fun branded experiences is second to none. Read more…
